Resolute Run Club - Clywdian Range

For our second run club outing, we're excited to be heading to the amazing Clywdian Range in North Wales for a group trail run led by Vic Owens (@thehappyrunnernw).

The run will start in Bwlch Pen Barras Car Park and we will navigate a 12km loop which will take us up to Jubilee Tower, a famous landmark with historical significance and geographical knowledge before looping back down to the starting point.

Following the Offas Dyke path straight from the car park, we start with a nice steady warm up climb to the famous Jubilee Tower, as we summit the highest point of the Clwydian Range and take in the most incredible views!

After we leave the summit, we glide back down into the lower part of the range and into Loggerheads, an undulating but runnable trail surrounded by the beautiful hillsides and forestry areas.

Meeting at 09.30 at the start of the path in Bwlch Pen Barras Car Park, setting off at 09.45. The run may take up to 2 hours - the pace is always set by the group, ensuring a comfortable speed for everyone.

There are two car parks at Bwlch Pen, both directly across from each other. We recommend parking in the larger of the two car parks, and walking over to the smaller car park where we will be meeting to start the run.

For those who need a post run treat, there is (normally but never guaranteed) a coffee van operating here so why not enjoy the view as you indulge in your recovery.
