THE ULTRA LOOP

Date: August 9th 2025

Start time: 09:00 / Finish time: 17:00

Location: Temple Newsam Park, Leeds, LS15 0AD

KIT RECOMMENDATIONS

While there is no mandatory kit list, we do recommend that you consider the following:

- Appropriate footwear that can do both pavement and light trail

- Appropriate clothing for the weather of the day

You MUST bring your own water bottle to refill at the aid station

REGISTRATION: 07:00 - 08:45

Please aim to arrive at least 45 minutes before the event brief as this will ensure that everyone is registered before the event is due to begin. The registration tables will have labels that relate to your surname, so please join the suitable queue.

When you register, you will receive your race number and chip-timing ankle strap. Please attach the race number to your front side. Shirt or shorts is fine, but it must be very clearly visible throughout the event. Safety pins are provided.

Please ensure that the timing ankle strap is equipped in a way that it won't move around too much or fall off, but isn't so tight that it is uncomfortable.

RACE START: 09:00

There will be an event briefing at 08.45 before you head to the start line.

We will ring the bell at 09:00 for the event to begin.

The start line will not be organised into finishing times due to the nature of the event, but if you do plan on setting off at a fast pace, please do make your way toward the front of the pack, and the same goes if you plan to take it easy, make your way toward the rear.

If you arrive late and miss the race start, you can still join in any time afterward as long as you come and collect your timing chip and are briefed.

DURING THE RACE

You can view the route here

There will be one start line, which is also the looping line, and the finish line. So, everyone will start by going over this one line.

To complete each loop you must cross this line, if you don't cross it, your loop won't be registered.

To continue running, just continue crossing the line and keep on running, following the route.

To go to the aid station, cross the line and then turn off to the left. You can refill your water, grab a snack, use the toilet or just take a break. When you're ready to start running again, don't cross over the line again, just re-join the course where you left it and continue. To finish your run completely, you will again need to cross the line.

No matter how far you run, whether that is 1 loop or 20, please let the timing team know when you have finished. They will collect your timing strap and mark you as finished on the tracking system. Once you have confirmed your finish with the timing team, make your way over to race HQ to collect your medal.

The 5pm cut-off is strict, meaning that any loops not completed by 5pm will not be included in the race results.

If you or your friends & family want to track your progress in real-time, use the link at the top of this page for live tracking.

Where possible, please run on the left side of the course to allow for runners who may overtake, whom we encourage to overtake on the right side of the course.

In general, try to give other runners enough space to move comfortably, to avoid any accidents. There may be non-participants on the course which can include both adults and children as well as dogs, so please be aware of this.

Please do not litter on the course, there will be bins at the aid station.

BAG DROP

You are welcome to drop your bag at the same time that you register and you can access it anytime you need to during the day. However, please try to limit the amount that you bring with you, as we don't have tonnes of space! We will attach a label to a handle on your bag which has your race number written on it, all you need to do is hand over your bag and to collect, show the staff your race number.

SPECTATORS

Spectators and crew are more than welcome at the event village.

AID STATION & WATER REFILLS

The aid station will provide a range of snacks, many of which will be vegan-friendly.

While we will be doing our best to provide as much as possible, we cannot guarantee that there will be something that is suitable for every person attending and we cannot guarantee that there will be enough of everything to fuel every person attending for the entire day.

Because of this, it is recommended that you still consider bringing some of your own tried and tested fuel sources, just in case our station doesn't provide you with what you need for the run.

You can find the details of everything that will be at our aid station below. This may vary slightly on the day.

In terms of water, there will be several water containers for you to refill your water bottles any time you visit the aid station.
