What are the rules?

Participants must complete two laps of the 2.08 mile course every hour, on the hour, in order to continue running. If you miss the time cut-off, you cannot continue.

There will be warning bells before each lap starts at 3 minutes, 2 minutes and 1 minute. When the bell rings at the start of each hour for the next lap to start, you must already be inside the start corral, otherwise you will receive a DNF.

Participants must not leave the course until each lap is completed, aside from to use the toilet.

Participants are not allowed to receive any crew support while running a lap, only in between laps.

Crew or spectators are not allowed to be out on the course. Everyone must remain situated at the event village.

The last person who can start a new lap is the winner of the event, while everyone else receives a DNF.

If no runner can start one more loop than anyone else, there is no winner.
When do entries close?
Entries will close when the places sell out, or two weeks before the event takes place.
What is the event capacity?
This event is limited to 100 participants
What should I bring?
We would advise that all participants have the following:

Clothing and kit - Kit to suit the weather of the day which may include waterproof layers and changes of clothes. This includes multiple pairs of socks, t-shirts, shorts, base layers etc.

Equipment - Your own water bottle. A headlight. A power bank with charging cables for your equipment. Please note, running aids such as running poles are not permitted.

Rest Stop - Depending on how far you are planning to run, then a tent could be helpful for rest stops and general rest stop items such as a chair and warm coat for the nights.

Fuel - We will provide VOOM energy bars as well as basic options such as sweet and savoury snacks, but we always recommend being as self-sufficient as possible. Bring your own tried and tested fuel options.
Is there an aid station?
Yes, our aid station will provide water, hot water, fruit, snacks and energy bars from our event sponsor VOOM.
Is there a bag drop?
Yes, there is a bag drop that will be managed by a member of staff. You are welcome to access your bag at any time.
Is there onsite parking?
The Race HQ is situated in the parking lot, where you can park free of charge.
Where do I register on the day?
Event registration will begin onsite at 6.00am, where you will collect your race number and have some time to warm up and get familiar with the event village. The event briefing will then take place at 9.30am before all runners will head to the start line ready to start at 10.00am.
Can I camp overnight after the event finishes?
If the event finishes after 9pm, participants are welcome to stay in their tent/rest area until the following morning if they wish not to travel in the night, but must clear the site by 7am the following day.
Camping is also available at several campsites local to Delamere Forest, which is not included in your entry fee, if you wish to stay an extra night before travelling home.
Can I wear headphones?
Headphones are allowed at this event as long as you remain aware of those around you and your surroundings at all times.
Where will I be told about event updates?
All event updates will be sent via both email and posted in our Facebook group which you can join here. All emails will come from alex@resoluterunning.co.uk. Please make sure that you are regularly checking your junk folder, just in case our emails end up in there.
Can I get a refund, or defer my entry?
Sorry, due to the nature of the event and how it's organised we aren't able to offer refunds. If you want to defer your entry to a future event, you can do so by contacting us directly. This option is only available up to 2 weeks prior to the event. There is also a deferral option for both men and women in the case that an event is close to a pregnancy due date, please get in touch if this is the case.
